ShockPad Sports Underlayer

The Russian-made shock-absorbing ShockPad base is manufactured for artificial turfs, injury-proof and other surfaces:

• makes the shock-absorbing properties and injury prevention a sequence higher;
• protects the crushed stone base against local subsidence under loads;
• regulates sporting implements’ bounces and the surfaces’ mechanical behavior in accordance with the sport regulations
• on crumb rubber turfs for football and rugby, it reduces the pile height by 10-20 mm and the fill-in amount by up to 30%. It saves up to 30% of funds with each turf replacement since the base service life is around 20 years while that of the turf without crumbs (with or without sand) does not exceed 5 years
• for playgrounds, agility sites, field hockey pitches, tennis and golf courts, etc. This is the sole method for ensuring the required shock absorption of the surface and achieving the safe HIC (head injury criterion) during the falls.

The base is manufactured from XPE foam based on the Korean technology. Surfaces with bases are certified using the standards of the Russian Federation, World Rugby, TR EAEU 042/2017 and others. It is possible to make grooves for heating elements and horizontal drain channels.

SHOCKPAD.RU bases are used on more than 500 pitches in the Russian Federation and the CIS.

Laying an open object on a non-draining base requires consultation with specialists.

Typical base designs for artificial pitches are specified in Russian Federation Standard 2.0.

The base is glued by metalized or acryl adhesive tape (depending on the type of facility).
