About materials and technologies (mats)
12.04.2023
The chief material in our manufacturing and the base of all our mats is a fabric manufactured from foamed polyethylene using the method of extrusion from high pressure polyethylene. This is an environmentally friendly and hypoallergenic material, possessing excellent thermal insulating properties. Also, it does not absorb moisture, is light weight, soft, and elastic. It can be used in a wide range of temperatures, resists ultraviolet radiation and fungus formation and is easy to clean from dirt.
Camouflage fabric
We use a strong and reliable polyester fabric to manufacture some of our models.
Cellular embossing
A large volumetric embossing forms a structure with many regularly arranged cells retaining their shape even after their compression and holding air in their spaces. The use of this technology makes it possible to greatly increase the mat’s thermal insulation without increasing its thickness. Also, this makes the mat softer and more comfortable by virtue of the cells’ resilient vertical walls.
Metalized surface
Application of a metalized film is a technology that increases the mat’s thermal insulation without increasing the material thickness due to the thermal emission effect.
Shaped folding profile
A large volumetric embossing forms a structure with many regularly arranged cells retaining their shape even after active use. The specially modeled profile of the mat gives it an accordion folding capability. In this case the adjacent sections touch each other tightly without gaps. Such a folded mat takes up much less space than a rolled mat of the same size.
Reinforcement
A strong polyester grid fused in the mat material serves as a reinforcement ensuring resistance to mechanical damage. A mat of this design can be spread (with grid down) in any place without fear of it getting torn by small stones or twigs.
Lamination by patterned film
This technology is used in many of our mats. It enables applying a full color image on the mat. Thus the graphic layer is between the polymer layers, which is why the paint does not wear off and has no contact with human skin.
Silver nano
The polyester grid treated by positively charged silver ions acquires expressly pronounced antibacterial properties. The Silver Nano technology combines antibacterial capabilities of pure silver with modern nanotechnologies. Silver ions settle down on the grid fibers at the molecular level. The antibacterial effect in the use of the Silver Nano technology reaches 99.99%, ensuring an antibacterial protection.
Fastening rubber bands
Each roll mat comes supplied with two rubber bands for fastening it in a folded condition.
Pyramid-type embossment
Most of our mats feature an embossing in the form of small pyramids. This is not just a decorative element since it forms small air channels ensuring air circulation and removal of water vapor formed between the human body and the mat.
Fabric tape
For extending the mats’ service life we manufacture them trimmed with a fabric tape.
Carrying case
Many mat models are supplemented with convenient carrying cases. They ease the carrying and storage of mats, protecting them against soiling and damage.
Addition of antiperene (fire retardant agents)
Addition of antiperene to the mat’s composition makes it fireproof. Such mats can be spread near a fire without fear of it getting burnt through by the landed sparks.
